Pixar Fest returns to the Disneyland Resort

For the first time since 2018, Pixar pals are taking over the Disneyland Resort from April 26 through Aug. 4, 2024, for Pixar Fest.

The “celebration of friendship and beyond” will feature all-new elements—including a new daytime parade in California Adventure Park—plus several returning favorites, including the Together Forever nighttime spectacular in Disneyland Park, with new enhancements.

Before guests even set foot in the parks, they’ll see the over 25-foot-tall Pixar sculpture in the esplanade. In addition, guests with MagicBand+ can interact with a Pixar-themed installation in California Adventure, and they can meet characters from Pixar stories in both Disneyland and California Adventure, including Ember and Wade from “Elemental” who’ll be making their Disneyland Resort debut.

Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! Parade

More than two dozen Pixar characters will make their way along the parade corridor at California Adventure twice daily on colorful floats, including Joe Gardner and 22 from “Soul,” Luca, Alberto, and Giulia from “Luca,” and Red Panda Mei and her friends rocking out to (who else?) 4*Town.

The parade’s grand finale will feature Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl from “The Incredibles,” Miguel from “Coco,” Mike and Sulley from “Monsters, Inc.,” and Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear from “Toy Story.”

Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular

Celebrating the heart of Pixar storytelling, the popular nighttime spectacular takes guests on a journey of friendship as Pixar pals meet, set out on adventures, overcome adversity, and forge everlasting bonds.

In addition to iconic moments from the original show – including Carl and Ellie’s house floating above Sleeping Beauty Castle – all-new scenes have been added featuring characters and moments from “Onward,” “Soul,” “Luca,” “Turning Red” and “Elemental.”

Together Forever can be viewed from the Rivers of America, “it’s a small world,” and Main Street, U.S.A. On most evenings, fireworks will illuminate the sky with the show. Guests wearing a MagicBand+ will notice twinkling lights and vibrations synchronized with the music.

Club Pixar at the Hollywood Backlot

During the day in the Hollywood Backlot area of California Adventure Park, guests can take photos in front of Pixar-themed backdrops, play games, and meet favorite characters; at night, Club Pixar will transform the area into a nighttime interactive dance party, with live performances, games, photo ops, themed food, specially crafted beverages, and more.

Pixar Pals Playtime Party at the Fantasyland Theatre

Pixar fans of all ages can “dance and play the Pixar way” at the Pixar Pals Playtime Party in the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park. The high-energy show features interactive games, photo locations, and activities inspired by Pixar feature films. A selection of Pixar shorts will also be shown on the big screen.

Pixar-Themed Foods and Marketplaces

It wouldn’t be Pixar Fest without Pixar-inspired food and beverages, including the fan-favorite Pixar Fest cake returning to Plaza Inn. New this year, Troubadour Tavern in Disneyland will feature a Pixar-inspired menu, and once again, Paradise Garden Grill in California Adventure will serve “Coco”-inspired items.

Beginning May 10, 2024, six Pixar-themed marketplaces in California Adventure will celebrate six beloved Pixar films:

4*Town Fav*4*ites from “Turning Red”

Pixar Merchandise

All-new merchandise collections inspired by Pixar films and characters include Pizza Planet baseball caps and jerseys, Turning Red sweatshirts, and more.

Medallions themed to favorite Pixar films will also be available for a limited time throughout Disneyland Resort, and arriving just for Pixar Fest is the Pizza Planet truck popcorn bucket.

The upcoming Disney Eats: Pixar Fest Foodie Guide will reveal more Pixar-themed novelties. Additional limited-time Pixar Fest merchandise will arrive at the resort in April.

Pixar Fest at Downtown Disney District

Pixar Fest will extend into the Downtown Disney District with photo opportunities celebrating Pixar stories and Pixar-inspired menu items at select dining locations.

For guests who want to extend the celebration even longer, the newly reimagined Pixar Place Hotel – the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States – brings Pixar to life with never-before-seen artwork and unique character encounters with Joe Gardner from “Soul” and Bing Bong from “Inside Out.”
