Beginning Oct. 19, 2022, eligible Magic Key holders, cast members, and Disney Vacation Club members will be among the first to purchase MagicBand+ from select locations at Disneyland Resort and get a first look at its hands-free conveniences and magical immersive experiences (applicable discounts will be applied).

Disneyland MagicBand+ features include:

  • More than 18 collectible colors and designs at launch, including five prints exclusive to Disneyland Resort (new options featuring favorite Disney characters and stories will be added continually).
  • Magic Key holders can purchase a band with a special design and unique light-up sequence (while supplies last).
  • MagicBand+ adds new, immersive elements to select park experiences, including certain entertainment at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure and the all-new nighttime spectaculars “World of Color – One” at California Adventure and “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland when they debut in late January 2023.
  • At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, MagicBand+ will allow guests to seek virtual bounties hidden throughout Black Spire Outpost in the Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters interactive quest.

“MagicBand+ is rechargeable, so you can use it again and again each time you visit,” Disneyland Public Relations Manager Jessica Pineda wrote in the Disney Parks Blog. “I recommend charging it overnight with the included USB charging cable, and once fully charged, be sure to power it off until you’re ready to use it again. Depending on your use, a fully charged battery on MagicBand+ can last between one to three days. Once fully charged, make sure to power it off until you’re ready to use it again. And for all the Grizzly River Run fans, don’t worry about MagicBand+ getting wet – it’s waterproof!”

Beginning Oct. 26, 2022, MagicBand+ will be available at the following Disneyland Resort locations:

  • Downtown Disney District – World of Disney and Disney’s Pin Traders.
  • Disneyland Park – Emporium, Pioneer Mercantile, Tomorrow Landing (reopening Oct. 26).
  • Disney California Adventure Park – Elias & Co., Trolley Treats, Oswald’s, Seaside Souvenirs.
  • Disneyland Resort Hotels – Disney’s Fantasia Shop in the Disneyland Hotel, Mickey in Paradise at the Paradise Pier Hotel, Acorns Gifts & Goods at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
