Portillo’s sets opening date for Lake Buena Vista location

Fast-casual chain Portillo’s has announced that it will host the grand opening for its newest location in The Village at O-Town West in Orlando on March 2.

The restaurant will join two other Portillo’s locations in Florida, Tampa and Brandon. The Orlando location, found at 7715 Palm Parkway, will officially open to the public at 10:30 a.m. on opening day.

“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in Florida and be part of such an iconic community,” said Michael Osanloo, CEO of Portillo’s. “This new restaurant will allow us to bring Portillo’s to long-time fans and first-time guests in the Orlando area, as well serve the many tourists in one of the country’s most popular destinations.”

Once open, guests can enjoy Portillo’s signature items like Chicago-Style Hot Dogs, Famous Italian Beef Sandwiches, Char-Grilled Burgers and Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake. The 7,800-square-foot restaurant will feature double drive-thru lanes and two large, covered outdoor patios. Inside, guests will find a diner theme, celebrating rock ‘n roll with an electric guitar ceiling installation.

Fans can register for a chance to attend a sneak peek training meal prior to opening and receive updates on the Lake Buena Vista location by signing up here.

For those who can’t wait until March, Portillo’s Beef Bus will begin operating in the Orlando area starting Jan. 21, offering the restaurant’s Chicago-Style Hot Dogs, Italian Beef Sandwiches, cheese fries and beverages. The Beef Bus team members will wear masks, and guests are required to wear them as well. Portillo’s will mark 6-foot distances in line so that guests can maintain social distancing. To keep up with the location and exact hours of operation, follow the Beef Bus on Twitter and Instagram.

  1. I’m sooooo very excited about Portillo coming to Florida. Believe it or not, I worked at the very first doghouse in Villa Park when Dick first got started. Welcome, welcome to Orlando. 😊😊😊

  2. I can’t wait to get a Chicago style Hot Dog. Just received an Italian Beef order from catering for my husband’s birthday! It was delicious! Still have 3 meals left. Really miss Hot Dogs!
