Portland’s Oaks Park opens new Adrenaline Peak roller coaster

Adrenaline Peak, the newest roller coaster at Oaks Park, is now open in Portland.

Rainy Oregon weather didn’t keep thrill-seekers away from Oaks Park late last month, when Portland welcomed the debut of Adrenaline Peak, Portland’s newest roller coaster.

Adrenaline Peak, the latest attraction at Oaks Park in Portland, Oregon, stands 72 feet tall, and sports a beyond-vertical first drop and three inversions.

Interim CEO George Kolibaba said, “I am pleased to announce a very successful implementation of the new roller coaster. This is a major step for our park and the success was due to many people’s hard work and commitment. We met our opening date, even with marginal weather, it was a true success.”

Siegfried Gerstlauer, Managing Director of Gerstlauer Amusement Rides added “Our company began making unique, marketable roller coasters for small parks and Adrenaline Peak certainly fits that bill”.’

“When a park like Oaks gets a new coaster it really is a reason to celebrate,” said Adam Sandy, Chief Business Development Officer at Ride Entertainment. “With its traditional rides and unique roller skating rink Oaks is iconic and what we think of as a classic American amusement park. Adrenaline Peak provides a new anchor for the property and a marketable asset that will be a draw for decades.”
