Princess Cruises announces The Love Boat cruise with original cast
Fans of can set sail with Princess Cruises on a star-studded Love Boat cruise with the iconic show’s original cast members.
“The Love Boat” aired from 1977 to 1986 with a guest cast that included some of the biggest names in Hollywood, but the show’s biggest star was the ship herself, the Pacific Princess, which presented a new glamorous, love-filled cruise week after week. In 2022, Princess was featured on “The Real Love Boat,” a reality dating series where three real-life Princess crew members and 12 singles cruised the Mediterranean onboard Regal Princess.
On Aug. 31, 2024, fans of the original show can board the Enchanted Princess with original cast members Bernie Kopell (Doctor Adam “Doc” Bricker), Fred Grandy (Purser Burl “Gopher” Smith), Jill Whelen (Captain’s daughter, Vicki Stubing), and Ted Lange (Bartender Isaac Washington) for a round trip cruise from New York to Canada & New England.
Princess Cruises Celebrations Ambassador Whelan will join her fellow Love Boat cast members for the cruise line’s second “The Love Boat-“ themed sailing, along with Ezra Freeman, the bartender from The Real Love Boat, and other surprise guests to be announced.
“We had such a blast connecting with fans on our theme cruise in 2022, so bringing it back in 2024 feels like it was meant to be, especially with the addition of some surprise guests,” Whelan said. “Sailing with our fans brings us so much joy and this cruise will undoubtedly be a special reunion, taking us back to where it all began – on a Princess Cruise.”
