Princess Cruises launches Ocean Sportsbook for betting at sea

When sailing resumes, Princess Cruises Ocean Sportsbook will provide sports fans with the opportunity to wager on their favorite matchups from the comfort of their cruise ship.

For the first time, passengers onboard Princess Cruises MedallionClass ships will be able to participate in a new, real-time sports wagering program. They will have the opportunity to bet on major sports competitions like professional and college football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and a wide variety of domestic and international events like the Olympics and even the Academy Awards. However, due to Carnival Corporation’s affiliation with the Miami Heat, bets cannot be placed in Ocean Sportsbook on NBA events involving the Heat.

When ships are in international waters—or wherever permitted by law—passengers can use the MedallionClass app to wager on major sports competitions, place prop bets during live events taking place during their cruise, and even place bets on future competitions that will occur after their voyage.

Built-in partnership with software developer, Miomni, Ocean Sportsbook will be available on all Princess MedallionClass ships upon approval to return to service. The new sportsbook is part of Ocean Casino, a digital experience that lets passengers wager on blackjack, slots, poker, roulette, bingo, keno, and lottery – and not only in the casino but also from staterooms, poolside, the spa, and more.

Princess MedallionClass vacations are marked by touchless embarkation and disembarkation, frictionless commerce, and keyless stateroom entry, all enabled by the award-winning OceanMedallion.
