The Queen Mary will open Ghosts and Legends to the public on Oct. 20.

The Queen Mary, known as one of the top 10 most haunted places on Earth by “Time Magazine,” has unveiled their re-inspired and intensified “Ghosts and Legends” haunt experience, which will open to the public on Friday, Oct. 20.

Offered year-round, guests are invited to board the RMS Queen Mary to test their might in the world’s largest interactive haunted attraction.

“The new Ghosts and Legends offers guests an entirely different level of the traditional haunted experience. We crafted terrifying original stories and characters based the ship’s well-known paranormal tales and hot-spots onboard the Queen Mary to create a truly thrilling, immersive, and unique encounter,” said Brian Luallen, Director of Entertainment Events for The Queen Mary.

The new version of Ghosts and Legends utilizes interactive technology and special effects, including a tesla coil firing 3.4 million volt bolts of lightning, water effects, CGI ghosts, fog projections, and a hand-het ghost tracking tablet given to select guests for their tour. To further intensify the experience, groups will also be given a flashlight to guide them on their way through the dimly lit ship – but the flashlights will be controlled by the Ghosts and Legends producers.

Ghosts and Legends will be open on Friday, Oct. 20 starting at 11 a.m. The attraction will be open daily, and run every 30 minutes starting at 11 a.m., and will host up to 30 guests per tour. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit queenmary.com.
