Regal Eagle Smokehouse at Epcot to be hosted by The Muppets’ Sam Eagle
One of Epcot’s upcoming restaurant additions, Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue, will feature a familiar (and fuzzy) face as its host: Sam Eagle of The Muppets.
The restaurant, which will open in the American Adventure pavilion, takes its name from the ultra-patriotic Muppet, who will host a centennial cook-off there – a salute to all cook-offs…but mostly barbecue.
Sam’s image will be part of the decor for this new restaurant. Guests will see him included on the sign for Regal Eagle, as well as on posters advertising his great barbecue cook-off:
Sam will also be incorporated into new merchandise that will be available exclusively at this new dining location.
Regal Eagle Smokehouse will open soon at Walt Disney World in Epcot. Click here to check out the menu, or learn more about the restaurant at DisneyWorld.com.

I just hope they move the restrooms closee to the promenade.
Oh, yay. More IPs at EPCOT. Sorry, IPCOT.
Sounds interesting, I hope they “Disneyize” it with some kind of show like at Cosmic Rays only with the muppets. Maybe like a “Laugh-In” wall of Muppets teaching us about American history. Turn EPCOT back into a learning and personal growth environment and away from the thrill rides…
Great idea, except Disney doesn’t really listen to us. The had an opportunity with Rizzo’s restaurant too.
