by Brittani Tuttle

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway has been open for just over a week, and guests have recently discovered a cute Easter egg when the ride breaks down!

As shown in this video from Twitter, when the ride breaks down and guests are stuck in the final scene of the ride, the Mickey animatronic tells guests that they are “experiencing a brief delay, haha!”

In an earlier part of the ride, Mickey can be heard talking to the disembodied safety spiel voice when ride vehicles are stopped:

I would have Mickey ask “Is this REALLY better than The Great Movie Ride? Clap if you agree with me, everybody.”

This ride seems kind of stupid and Mickey’s voice is wrong. Bring back the Great Movie Ride. In fact, The Disney Co. should bring back Michael Eisner. New rides weren’t breaking down weekly and prices for passes and resort rooms were MUCH better than now. Roads are a mess. EPCOT is a disaster! Walt wouldn’t be happy!! ☹

You speak much truth… but not about Eisner. He was a monster and it’s his policies that led directly to many of the company’s problems.

From day 1 I was never thrilled with the Great Movie Ride, wondering when it opened this is the key ride for the park? It grew on me over future visits but was never a favorite of mind and didn’t mind seeing it go. Looking forward to riding and enjoying this new Mickey and Minnie ride a lot.
