Here are the dates for each weekend event, starting in fall 2022:

  • Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend – Nov. 3-6, 2022
  • Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend – Jan. 4-8, 2023
  • Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend – Feb. 23-26, 2023
  • runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend – April 13-16, 2023

Disney also said runDisney virtual events will return for the 2022-2023 season for those who can’t travel to the parks. This past season, there was a virtual version of every themed race weekend.

On sale and registration dates have not yet been announced, but runners are encouraged to follow runDisney’swebsite and social media pages for updates.

runDisney has been hosting races in and around Walt Disney World for more than 25 years. There are a variety of race events and expos throughout the year for runners of all ages and skill levels.

Race weekends are the only chances to experience running through unique courses set up inside Walt Disney World theme parks. And some of the runners’ biggest fans are the Disney characters themselves cheering on racers every step of the way.

Ahead of the 2022-2023 season, the Florida parks will host the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend from Jan. 5-9, 2022; the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend on Feb. 24-27, 2022; and the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend from March 31-April 3, 2022.

Looking forward to another season of racing starting next year, runDisney will also soon drop a new line of themed exercise clothing on shopdisney.com and at runDisney Health & Fitness Expos. Disney Parks Blog shared a sneak peek at the new collection that includes dark blue, black and white workout shirts, jogging pants, tank tops and hats.

Disney also created new workout routines themed to “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Lion King” and “The Princess and the Frog” to get you ready for upcoming races.

One way to experience a runDisney race weekend is to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Resort stays during race weekends include race day transportation and post-race relaxation opportunities for runners. There are also several running trails around some of the Walt Disney World resort hotels.

Learn more about booking resort hotel stays during a race weekend through the runDisney blog.
