The San Francisco Dungeon is searching for ‘America’s Most Ghosted’
If you’ve ever had an amorous relationship unexpectedly vanish into the ether, the San Francisco Dungeon can turn your heartbreak into a bay vacation with their “America’s Most Ghosted” contest.
The San Francisco Dungeon, a live show experience dedicated to the Bay Area’s dark history, is currently accepting screenshots of unresolved romantic text exchanges as entries into their “America’s Most Ghosted” contest. Entries are being accepted now through 5 p.m. on April 15, 2019, with the winner of a vacation to San Francisco — including a free flight, accommodation at nearby Hotel Zoe, and a ticket to the Dungeon — to be announced on Wednesday, April 17.
“With digital dating more popular than ever, we decided to shed light on the dark side of modern romance and celebrate being rejected for no known reason,” explained Dalia Goldgor, general manager, The San Francisco Dungeon. “We are known as the place to encounter San Francisco’s most infamous ghosts, but with this offer, we hope to soothe hurting hearts and App-induced thumb-wounds by recognizing and rewarding America’s Most Ghosted.”
“Ghosting” is the name for a 21st-century dating phenomenon whereby a love interest suddenly stops returning texts, never to be heard from again. To enter the contest, post a screen shot of your final text exchange on Instagram or Twitter @thesfdungeon using the unique hashtag #AmericasMostGhosted. Include in ten words or fewer anything you want to say about the situation. All contestants must follow @thesfdungeon on the platform of submission (either Twitter or Instagram) to ensure The San Francisco Dungeon can view and share submissions.
