Just in time for Valentine’s Day, ScareHouse in Pittsburgh, Pa. will open a new immersive experience, called Bold Escape Rooms, on Feb. 14 in the heart of the Strip District.

Another frightfully fun offering, The Basement, will also reopen for a limited time after its unexpected delay this past Halloween season. To enter The Basement, guests must be age 18 or older and sign a waiver.

Bold Escape Rooms will offer two unique experiences: “Stalked by a Killer” and “data/bass,” where each one will combine intricate sets with puzzles that can last up to an hour. Tickets to each escape room can be purchased seperately online, and they will be open from the early afternoon through the late evening on Wednesdays – Sundays.

In “Stalked by a Killer,” the clock is ticking as your room is filling with poisonous gas, and you only have one hour to escape with your life! Solve a series of puzzles crafted by a deranged maniac and become the star of your own horror movie.

“data/bass” begins with a question: Why was Pittsburgh’s hottest club shut down so suddenly? Was it due to man, machine… or something in-between? Up to eight people can join in on this after-hours mission to sneak in the club and boot up the digital dance floor before time runs out.

“So many people are desperate to escape the terrors of Valentine’s Day that when we realized last fall that we could not open our ‘Scream District’ concept on time and as planned, we began targeting this frightful, creepy, anxiety-laden day for the launch of our permanent escape rooms and the return of ‘The Basement,'” said Scott Simmons, founder of Bold Escape Rooms and creative director for ScareHouse. “Renovating and restoring a historic building in the Strip District turned out to be more challenging and complex than we ever imagined, but the support from our fans has been enormously encouraging, and we hope they agree that there’s never a bad time for some adrenaline-fueled excitement.”

Both escape room experiences are recommended for ages 12 and older, though guests under 16 will require adult supervision.

Tickets to The Basement start at $49.99 for a double ticket (admission for two people) and $34.99 for single admission. Admission to the escape rooms, each sold separately, is $26.95 each.
