Schlitterbahn New Braunfels in Texas adding kid’s water coaster in 2024
In 2024, a kid-sized water coaster called Bow Wow Blaster will welcome guests at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels, a Cedar Fair-operated water park in Texas.

Bow Wow Blaster will be one of several components within Schatze’s Storybrook Park, a new area specially designed for young guests (Schatze is the name of Schlitterbahn’s canine mascot).

Schlitterbahn describes Bow Wow Blaster as “the world’s first kids’ water coaster,” a kiddie counterpart to Master Blaster, the park’s signature water coaster for older kids and adults. In addition to the new kid’s water coaster, the area will include slides, a 1,200-gallon water bucket, spray toys, and over 70 interactive water features.
Explore Punny Fairy ‘Tails’
Throughout Schatze’s Storybrook Park, guests will encounter punny, dog-themed spins on classic fairy tales. Here, though, Schatze calls them fairy “tails.” These will include Fairy Tale Trail, a splash pad…

…The Three Little Pugs trio of slides…

… and The Fur-Bidden Forest, a water play area.

Other punny offerings will have monikers like Little Red Riding Hound and Houndsel and Petzel.
“Schlitterbahn has always been known as a place where families come together to have fun, make memories, and stay cool during the hot summer months,” said Darren Hill, vice president and general manager of Schlitterbahn Water Parks and Resorts. “We are known as a water park that introduces first-of-its-kind attractions, and with the addition of the world’s first water coaster for kids and Schatze’s Storybrook Park in 2024, the tradition of families making lifelong memories in New Braunfels will continue for many years to come.”
