SeaWorld Entertainment is changing its corporate name

Effective Feb. 12, 2024, SeaWorld Entertainment will be known as United Parks & Resorts Inc., but SeaWorld parks will all keep their names.

The new name is only for the parent company; however, the names of it’s 13 parks, including SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove, Sesame Place, Water Country USA, Adventure Island, and Aquatica will not change.

“Our new company name, United Parks & Resorts Inc., better reflects that we have been, and will continue to be, a diverse collection of park brands and experiences,” said Marc Swanson, SeaWorld Entertainment’s chief executive officer. “What also remains unchanged is our deep commitment to creating experiences that matter for our guests and inspiring them to help protect animals and the wild wonders of the world.”

SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc. announced the name change on Jan. 30, 2024. And with the name change comes a new stock ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange from SEAS to PRKS, with trading as PRKS beginning Feb. 13, 2024.

Also on Feb. 13, 2024, the SeaWorld Entertainment’s main website and investors website domains will also change to UnitedParks.com and UnitedParksInvestors.com.

In other SeaWorld Entertainment news, SeaWorld Orlando filed plans with Orange County on Jan. 12, 2024 for an onsite resort hotel connected to Discovery Cove.
