SeaWorld San Antonio holiday light display is the largest in Texas

The SeaWorld San Antonio holiday celebration is the biggest Christmas event in Texas, with festive holiday-themed areas, seasonal shows, and millions of twinkling lights.

From Nov. 10, 2022-Jan. 2, 2023, the park will transform into a holiday wonderland with the largest holiday light display in Texas, plus returning favorite holiday experiences, the premiere of the brand-new “O Wondrous Night” musical, and the debut of the Snowman Jam.

O Wondrous Night” – This magical live stage show tells the story of the Nativity through the eyes of the animals who experienced it, featuring puppetry, special effects, more than 30 inspirational carols, and dance.

Christmas Party Zone and Snowman Jam – The winter wonderland will heat up at the holiday party zone, including the club-like Snowman Jam music and festive snowflake flurries fill the area around the new Frozen Fusion Bar that will serve up specialty cocktails such as the Mistletoe Margarita.

Returning Holiday Favorites at SeaWorld San Antonio

Guests will experience the joy of the holiday season through returning favorites like millions of twinkling light displays, meet-and-greets with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the Sesame Street Christmas Parade, and visits with Santa himself.

  • Twelve Yuletide-themed areas – Guests can experience a country Christmas at Christmas Market (complete with a unique tree made entirely of cowboy boots), the 1950s-inspired Christmas Cove, and the whimsical Snowman Village, where they can pose with life-sized snowmen.
  • Holiday shows and festive animal presentations – Park guests can experience the fiesta flare of the Merry Mariachis, hear the story of the first Christmas told through song in “Peace on Earth,” and see “Ocean Discovery: A Splash of Christmas,” the festive beluga whale and pacific white-sided dolphin presentation set to the music of “The Nutcracker.”
  • Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Friends – The story of Rudolph comes to life through life-size storybook vignettes featuring the classic tale and meet-and-greets with beloved characters, including Rudolph, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius, and Bumble.
  • The “Sesame Street Christmas Parade” – Guests of all ages will love the energetic Christmas celebration featuring festive floats, show-stopping performances, and Sesame Street friends, including Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Bert, Ernie, and more.
  • Fireside s’mores and a holiday scavenger hunt – Families and friends can create holiday memories as they cozy up around a toasty fire and roast marshmallows for delicious holiday s’mores. Afterward, they can become Insta-famous (and featured on billboards around San Antonio) by participating in a jolly photo scavenger hunt.
  • Festive food and beverages – Holiday-inspired treats and eats include seasonal candies and baked goods, festive funnel cakes, and winter cocktails, including the new Santa-Gria and Grinch Cocktail with melon liqueur and rum.
  • Dinner with Santa and Dine with Rudolph – Mrs. Claus is serving a Christmas feast at Dinner with Santa (where the big guy himself reads stories to the kids), or families can Dine with Rudolph and Friends. Reservations are required for Dinner with Santa and Dine with Rudolph.

SeaWorld San Antonio will also celebrate Chanukah at the park’s Fourth Annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 19, 2022, and will ring in 2023 with a spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks display at 9 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2022.
