SeaWorld San Diego celebrates spring with Sesame Street weekends

SeaWorld San Diego is inviting guests to come and play on weekends through June 6, 2021, when Sesame Street characters will host Sesame Street-themed weekends at the park’s Sesame Street Bay of Play.

Families can join Elmo, Rosita, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, Grover, and all their Sesame Street friends for a fun-filled celebration of friendship and fun, complete with a special Storytime and a Furry Friends Dance Party — all included with park admission.

Rosita Weekend – May 14-16, 2021

Rosita loves to dance, so families should get ready to show her their best moves at the Furry Friends Dance Party. During this weekend, Rosita will host Storytime at the Sesame Street Bay of Play stage.

Oscar the Grouch Weekend – May 21-23, 2021

He may be a grouch, but that’s not stopping him from hosting a fun-filled weekend in Sesame Street Bay of Play, including the Furry Friends Dance Party and Storytime at the Sesame Street Bay of Play stage.

Elmo Weekend – May 28-31, 2021

Elmo can’t wait to see everybody at Sea World’s  Elmo Weekend. Families can sing and dance along with Elmo during this weekend’s Furry Friends Dance Party and listen to a special Storytime at the Sesame Street Bay of Play stage with the lovable red monster.

Grover Weekend – June 4-6, 2021

Grover loves to help people and go on new adventures, so he’s ready to meet many new friends at the Furry Friends Dance Party and Storytime at the Sesame Street Bay of Play during Grover Weekend.

Brunch with Elmo & Friends

Families can also enjoy signature brunch dishes like berry compote and mint-infused French Toast, homemade biscuits and gravy, orange-infused honey parfaits, and more at Brunch with Elmo & Friends every Friday, Saturday & Sunday through June 6, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Explorers Café Patio (additional purchase and reservation required). The brunch also includes an interactive yet socially distanced dance party and an exclusive meet-and-greet and photo experience with Elmo and a complimentary photo is included.

R is for Rescue

Join Elmo and Abby Cadabby as they sing, dance, and learn all about animals in this all-new animal rescue presentation on select days and times at the Nautilus Amphitheater. During the show, the SeaWorld Rescue Team — along with some animal ambassadors — will help Elmo and Abby understand how the team rescues and cares for animals in need and how we can all take care of the environment to make it a safer place for our animal friends.

Meet Sesame Street Characters at all-new meet-and-greet areas:

• Abby Cadabby’s Garden – Fly by Abby Cadabby’s colorful new garden to wave hello and take physically distanced photos with the magical fairy.
• Storytime with Big Bird – The biggest storyteller on the block will welcome friends to his nest to hear a special Sesame Street story and take physically distanced pictures.
• The Count’s Castle – Families can make unforgettable memories with Count von Count at his new meet-and-greet photo area where they can take physically distanced photos with The Count in his not-too-spooky castle.
