SeaWorld's new blog brings all their brands, social media together

Fans of SeaWorld, Aquatica, Discovery Cove and Busch Gardens can now follow all their latest offical news via the new SeaWorldParksBlog.com. Redesigned with social media in mind, the blog features the company’s Tweets, Facebook posts, Flickr photos, YouTube videos and more.

“SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment has a rapidly growing following of engaged, social media-savvy fans,” said Anne Fischer, director of digital marketing for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. “This new blog immerses visitors into our virtual world with interactive features that keep them current on the exciting happenings at the parks.”

One highlight of the new site is the “Featured Authors” section, where bloggers and online content providers can now publish their stories. Bloggers submit their names, short bios and the web address of their blog posts. The SeaWorld team selects and publishes the most compelling stories. Fans also will be able to share content by uploading and sharing pictures and videos.

Other new interactive features include:

• A new option to read stories/topics from all parks in an aggregate blog or drill down to stories that are park or topic specific. Readers can choose from many categories such as Rides and Shows, Gardening, Animals, Celebrities, Food and Drink and more. There’s also a blog just for the SeaWorld parks at insideseaworld.com.

• Built-in sharing tools, including Facebook “Likes,” a Twitter retweet button, a button to rate stories with a thumbs up or down, and the capacity to quickly share stories with other major Web sites.

• The ability to take a poll or sign up for RSS feed.
