Shrek’s Quesadilla available through MrBeast Burger for a limited time

Thanks to a partnership between Universal and MrBeast Burger – the brainchild of philanthropist and YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson (aka “MrBeast”) – Shrek fans across the country can now order the limited-time Shrek’s Quesadilla.

In November 2020, Donaldson staged a pop-up event for MrBeast Burger in his hometown of Greenville, N.C., as the world’s first free restaurant. Since then, the virtual dining brand has continued to grow, offering online ordering for burgers, sandwiches, and sides prepared in “ghost kitchens” throughout the U.S.

MrBeast Burger’s collaboration with Universal pays tribute to the cranky green ogre in the form of two smashed beef or Impossible patties with house seasoning, American cheese, diced white onions, (green) pickles, caramelized onions, and chopped green chilies, all wrapped in a crispy (green) spinach tortilla – get the theme? Plus, as we know, both ogres and onions have layers.

We ordered both versions through DoorDash in Los Angeles ($10.49 for beef and $13.99 for Impossible) and through UberEats in Orlando ($8.99 for beef and $12.99 for Impossible). The two versions tasted exactly the same and the only difference we noticed is that the Impossible patties are thinner.

Shrek’s Quesadilla can be ordered online through the MrBeast Burger website and mobile app or most third-party delivery services, including DoorDash and UberEats.

Something to keep in mind: Because MrBeast Burger operates out of ghost kitchens, your order may get canceled, which did happen to us in Orlando. However, we just tried different locations until our persistence was rewarded, and the order went through.
