Select Six Flags parks are bringing thrills and chills this Halloween with a new event for the whole family – Hallowfest.

The event will offer “Thrills by Day” with family-friendly activities and “Chills by Night” with rides on roller coasters in the dark and spooky theming throughout the park.

The event will begin in either September or October depending on the Six Flags park, and limited capacity will be in effect to ensure social distancing is maintained. Reservations will be required and safety protocols will be in effect for the entire run of the event.

“Our Hallowfest celebration represents exactly what our Members, Season Pass Holders, and guests have asked for […] more opportunities to spend time together and create family memories this year,” said Rick Howarth, park president of Six Flags America. “This new event will still be scary, provide lots of thrilling rides and Halloween fun, and most importantly, will be safe for our guests and team members.”

All team members (including scare actors) and guests will be required to wear face masks that cover the nose and mouth while in the parks. There will be no indoor mazes, haunted houses, or indoor shows during the event, and scare actors will remain at least six feet away from guests and each other at all times.
