Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J. “doubles down on dinosaurs” starting May 28 with the Xpedition Dino drive-through or walk-through adventure, featuring 30 realistic, life-size dinosaurs that will convince you time-travel is possible.

Six Flags Great Adventure’s thrilling new exhibition, Xpedition Dino, lets visitors choose between two ways to experience the adventure: by driving their own vehicles through the dinosaur exposition, or braving the thrills of the Jurassic period as a one-of-a-kind walking tour.

By day, Xpedition Dino is an experience that can be added to the park’s Wild Safari Drive-Thru Adventure tickets, allowing guests to drive past life-sized, roaring, moving dinosaurs, with a custom soundtrack that can be streamed from any mobile device. In early evening, ultra-brave adventurers can make the trek on foot, along a private, wooded path.

Those who choose the drive-through version must maintain a speed limit of 5 miles per hour while remaining in their vehicle at all times and staying on the paved road.
After the Wild Safari closes for the day, Xpedition Dino will be offered as a thrilling and educational add-on to Six Flags Great Adventure theme park’s admission. Guests can walk along a wooded pathway past 30 dinosaurs, including Triceratops, Brachiosaurus, Megalosaurus, Utahraptor, Iguanodon, Carnotaurus, Dimetrodon, and the undisputed king of all dinosaurs, Tyrannosaurus Rex.

While on the walking tour, guests must remain on the pathway and may not touch or climb on the dinosaurs. The self-guided tour will begin in the theme park’s Frontier Adventures section. It runs from Wild Safari’s closing time until dusk.
The experience includes detailed information on each of the dinosaurs displayed along the path, and those who choose the walking adventure will have the opportunity to take unforgettable photos with these life-like reptiles.

Xpedition Dino runs from May 28 through Sept. 7, with a small upcharge to Memberships, Season Passes, and daily tickets. Reservations are required in advance at SixFlags.com/GreatAdventure.
