Six Flags parks to charge extra for haunted houses at Halloween events, even for season passholders
Six Flags parks will charge an extra fee for its haunted houses during Halloween 2025 haunt events, even for season passholders.

For 2025, entry into the park during Six Flags locations’ nighttime Halloween events — Fright Fest, Scarowinds, Halloween Haunt, HalloWeekends, and ValleyScare — is included with daytime admission, but haunted houses (also referred to as “mazes”) cost extra money.
This business model was previously implemented at a handful of parks, and now rolls out to the entire Six Flags portfolio, including parks formerly owned by Cedar Fair prior to the two companies’ 2024 merger. (The two exceptions are Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, Calif., and Six Flags Darien Lake near Buffalo, N.Y.)

Various Six Flags parks (including former Cedar Fair parks) have operated their Halloween events differently over the years, sometimes treating them as separately ticketed events and other times including them with regular daytime admission. In many cases, though, season passholders still received haunt admission regardless. This will not be the case this year.
Several ticket options are available:
- Haunted Attractions Pass, which includes standard entry into all haunted houses for one night (starting at $10)
- Haunted Attractions Bundle, which includes park admission + standard entry into all haunted houses for one night (starting at $55)
- Haunted Attractions Express Pass, which includes expedited entry into all haunted houses for one night (starting at $29)
- All-Season Haunted Attractions Express Pass, which includes expedited entry into all haunted houses for all haunt nights (starting at $55)
Pricing varies by park and by date. Generally from what we’ve seen so far, the Haunted Attractions Pass ranges from $10-$30, the Bundle starts at $55, the Express Pass ranges from $29-$69, and the All-Season Express Pass starts at $55. Check your Six Flags park’s website for exact pricing.
Scare zones throughout the parks’ midways, live shows, and rides are included with guests’ park admission ticket and will not require separate entry fees.
New in 2025 at four parks is “The Conjuring: Beyond Fear,” an escape-room-like attraction with separate admission altogether from the haunted houses and park admission.
Earlier this month, Six Flags launched its “Most Valuable Pass” sale, during which guests who buy a 2026 season pass to any Six Flags-owned park receive admission to all other Six Flags parks free, plus admission for the rest of 2025.

Done being gouged by these parks and have seen nothing but monopolistic behavior since the merger. Best of luck Six Flags, I’ll spend my money elsewhere.
They’re gonna lose a lot of customers this way. I’m not paying extra for the haunted houses, F that!
