Six Flags introduces Six Flags Plus
Coaster fans rejoice! Six Flags has announced Six Flags Plus, a brand new way to pay and play at their parks.

For $12.99 per month, Six Flags Plus pass holders can get unlimited access to all twenty-seven theme parks and water parks; free general parking; priority entry at the front gate; 15% off food, beverage, and merchandise; two specialty rate tickets for friends and family; and one skip-the-line pass per season.
Now, here’s the Six Flags Plus fine print:
While there’s no additional down payment, you do have to make a one-year commitment to Six Flags Plus. In addition, the two specialty-rate tickets vary in price depending on what day of the week you visit and time of year. And the one skip-the-line pass? It means you can only skip one line per year for free. If you want to add a Flash Pass, it’s an additional fee.
For those curious about buying, let’s compare Six Flags Plus to the best annual pass available – the Diamond Pass – which will also get you into all twenty-seven parks with priority entry. For Six Flags Plus, you’re paying $12.99 a month and a Diamond Pass is $170 (so roughly $14.17 a month), but a Diamond Pass comes with extra perks, including 20% off food, beverages, and merch (compared to 15%); free preferred parking (instead of general); five specialty rate tickets (instead of two); four skip-the-line passes (instead of one); plus, a refillable soda bottle, 50% off cabanas at the water parks, and 50% off season Flash Pass add-ons.
So, which is the right purchase?
If you’re someone who plans to go to Six Flags only on weekdays when lines will be shorter and you don’t plan on buying a lot of food and merch, Six Flags Plus may be your best bet. However, if you like your Six Flags experience on the weekends with friends and with a lot of drinks and snacks, you might want to pay that dollar and change more per month for the Diamond Pass and get that Flash Pass add-on as well.
