Six Flags St. Louis is now Mid America Adventure — what’s next?

A 55-year-old St. Louis theme park has a new name — one that reaches back to its beginnings while signaling its future under Enchanted Parks.

Six Flags St. Louis becomes Mid America Adventure by Enchanted Parks

Six Flags St. Louis officially became Mid America Adventure on Thursday, Aug. 27, unveiling a new logo and beginning what the park calls “Chapter One” of its next era.

The park originally opened in 1971 as Six Flags Over Mid-America, making the Mid America Adventure name a deliberate connection to its history. The new logo similarly incorporates recognizable St. Louis imagery alongside roller coaster and water park elements.

“This rebrand reflects our commitment to honoring the park’s 55-year legacy while embracing a future focused on creating unforgettable experiences for families throughout the Midwest,” the park said in announcing the change.

Video released alongside the announcement shows crews removing the Six Flags branding and installing the new Mid America Adventure identity; watch it below.

Mid America Adventure begins new era under Enchanted Parks

The change also puts a visible new identity on a transition that has already been taking place behind the scenes.

Mid America Adventure is operated by Enchanted Parks, which acquired six former Six Flags properties. In an interview with Attractions Magazine earlier this year, Enchanted Parks CEO James Harhi made clear that the company intended to establish its own approach at the parks.

“We have to do things differently than Six Flags,” Harhi told Attractions Magazine, adding that “these parks are not Six Flags.”

Harhi discussed redirecting resources toward rides and park improvements as Enchanted Parks establishes its strategy for the properties. The Mid America Adventure rebrand now makes that separation particularly tangible in St. Louis.

“The rebrand to Mid America Adventure is the next step in our ongoing investment in this park and community,” said Harhi on Aug. 27, when the new name was announced. “We are committed to providing our guests with quality experiences and will continue to build on our legacy as the Midwest’s gateway to thrills.”

What does the Mid America Adventure name mean for guests?

Mid America Adventure will continue operating its familiar rides and attractions, along with Hurricane Harbor Water Park, while Enchanted Parks makes improvements under its new ownership.

Previously purchased 2026 tickets remain valid. Six Flags season passes and active memberships purchased before April 6, 2026, also continue to receive their applicable admission and multi-park benefits through the 2026 season. Passes purchased after the ownership transition are subject to the new Enchanted Parks access rules.

Guests will increasingly see the Mid America Adventure and Enchanted Parks identities replacing Six Flags branding, beginning with the new park logo unveiled Aug. 27.

The park says its new identity combines a piece of its past with “the excitement of new adventures” ahead — bringing the property, in one sense, closer to where its story began 55 years ago.
