Star Tours Starspeeder ship hidden in ‘Skeleton Crew’ as Easter egg
“Skeleton Crew” Easter egg alert! Find out where in the new “Star Wars” series to look closely for a hidden appearance by Star Tours ship from Disney theme parks.

The Starspeeder 1000 spaceship from Star Tours – The Adventures Continue can be seen onscreen during episode 3 of “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” the new series streaming on Disney+. The Starspeeder is in the background among several other ships visiting Port Borgo, a pirate port in the show. The episode was released on Dec. 10, 2024.
LADYQlRA on X spotted the ship in action:
In “Skeleton Crew” episode 3 (titled “Very Interesting, as an Astrogration Problem”), pause the frame at timecode 12:40 to spot the Starspeeder toward the bottom left of the screen; then pause the frame again at timecode 13:10 for a slightly clearer look at the Star Tours ride vehicle.
The Starspeeder serves as the narrative conduit for the simulator theater vehicle in Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at Disneyland, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo Disneyland.
Riders’ experience on Star Tours is frought with dangerous encounters with villains, but within the “Star Wars” lore, the fictional company’s voyages are generally not as prone to chaos. As part of the backstory of the ride, Star Tours is the name of an airline-like company providing commercial flights to tourists. This begs the question, then, what the Starspeeder is doing in a pirate port.

The Starspeeder as it appears in “Skeleton Crew” is the newer model from Star Tours – The Adventures Continue. Compare the currently orange-and-white ship to its white-and-blue predecessor from the original Star Tours:

Characters from “Skeleton Crew” do not currently appear in Star Tours. Earlier this year, characters from “The Mandalorian,” “Andor,” and “Ahsoka” debuted as randomized possibilities for Star Tours voyages in the California, Florida, and Paris versions of the attraction.
