‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ live concert tour stops announced

Are your Spider Senses tingling? Hot on the heels of the box office smash that is “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” Senbla and Sony Pictures have put together a national tour of the film that started the series (“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”) with a twist – live music!

"Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" Live In Concert

By Chris Bower

The “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” Live In Concert tour, like many “movie night at the symphony” style events, will be accompanied by a live orchestra, in this case, The Broadway Sinfonietta, which has the special distinction of having all women and a majority women-of-color performers. The tour will also feature a band, electronics, and a scratch DJ on turntables playing music from the score and soundtrack of the film, including songs by Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Jaden Smith, and Nicki Minaj.

The film’s composer, Daniel Pemberton, had this to say, “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is one of my favorite scores I’ve ever written. Utilizing a full orchestra, crazy electronics and unbelievable turntable scratching techniques amongst a million other things is so technically complex, I never thought we’d ever be able to actually reproduce it in a live setting; but somehow, we have. I am ridiculously excited for fans around the country to see their very first Spider-Verse concert later this year.”
