The $6 million attraction in Las Vegas, Nev. will take riders to Bikini Bottom, the oceanic locale of Nickelodeon’s “SpongeBob SquarePants,” with animatronics and media-based effects.

The ride’s story involves Mr. Krabs opening a midway of carnival games, a happy occasion that’s ultimately blundered by another one of Plankton’s schemes to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula.

“Guests from all over the world will love how the over-the-top optimism and humor that SpongeBob SquarePants embodies is integrated in this exciting new attraction,” said Shana Gerety, senior vice president of operations at Circus Circus, when the attraction was announced last August.
