Spooky Empire is going retro at the Wyndham Orlando Resort this April.

Get ready for a taste of Halloween in the middle of spring as the Spooky Empire convention reunites retro horror icons at the Wyndham Orlando Resort on April 1-3.

Spooky Empire is well known to Central Florida fear aficionados for their semi-annual fan gatherings, which combine celluloid celebrity encounters with tattoo art exhibitions, costume contests, vendors, and more gruesome fun.

For spring 2016, Spooky Empire is going retro with an old-school festival headlined by shock rock innovator Alice Cooper. Other advertised highlights include cast reunions of the iconic 1980’s genre films “Weird Science” (Anthony Michael Hall, Ilan Mitchell-Smith and Kelly LeBrock), “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3” (including Heather Langenkamp), and “Day of the Dead.” “Sopranos” star Drea DeMatteo, “Goodfellas” actor Paul Sorvino, and “Godzilla” performers Tsutomu Kitagawa are just a few of the names on the extensive media guest list, not to mention the numerous visual artists also exhibiting.
