Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is now open – Photo Gallery and Video Recap
One of the most controversial and highly-anticipated Disney offerings, the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, has officially opened. With its promise of non-stop multi-day immersion, it sold Disney and Star Wars fans alike. But the price tag also scared away some. We were invited to an early media stay on this starcruiser, the Halcyon. We engaged with the crew members, witnessed the major show moments, ate the Star Wars-esque food and explored the cabins. Today, the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser welcomed her first official paying passengers.
Spoiler Alert. This is a round-up of all the photos, stories, and videos we have posted so far. If you are planning on going and have avoided spoilers so far, you may want to read only our Conclusion at the end of our full review.
The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a multi-day step into the Star Wars galaxy. You will meet new characters and interact with those you already know, like Rey, Chewbacca, and Kylo Ren. You will stay in a cabin that has a viewport out into space. You will go through lightsaber and bridge training. You will have numerous meals, some with speciality alien entertainment from galactic superstar Gaya. You will be able to chose a path to follow, from the Force to the First Order. Or maybe you want to be a Smuggler? Overall, the Halcyon will feature things to do all day. This is an immersive trip, not really a relaxing vacation. So don’t be expecting to lay out by a pool. Instead, grab a blaster, get your Twi’lek head piece on ,and prepare for a trip you will never forget.
