‘Stolen Kingdom’ documentary about Epcot’s Buzzy animatronic premieres in 2025
“Stolen Kingdom,” a documentary about the alleged theft of a Walt Disney World Audio-Animatronics figure, will premiere in February 2025.

Director Josh Bailey took to X to announce “Stolen Kingdom” will premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival in Los Angeles, Calif., taking place in early 2025. YouTuber and documentarian Bright Sun Films serves as an executive producer on the film.
The Slamdance website gives a brief synopsis of “Stolen Kingdom”: “A look into the underground community of rule-breakers at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and how their actions led to the disappearance of an Audio-Animatronic named Buzzy.”

Buzzy, an animatronic from the now-closed 1989 Epcot attraction Cranium Command, was reportedly stolen in 2018. While this has never been confirmed, the Disney fan community buzzed with theories and rumors when the “news” first broke.
