Summer of More runs from now through September 5, 2022, inviting guests to enjoy water park adventures, live entertainment, culinary creations, and more at five Gaylord resorts across the country.
Gaylord Palms in Florida, Gaylord Opryland in Tennessee, Gaylord Texan in Texas, Gaylord Rockies in Colorado, and Gaylord National in Maryland are celebrating summer vacations and staycations with indoor and outdoor activities that make the most of the sunny season.
Summer of More at Gaylord Palms
The resort’s new Cypress Springs water park is the action-packed choice for summertime fun, including the new Crystal River Rapids river adventure. Splash under natural waterfalls, swim in the zero-entry pool, test your skills during the FlowRider Surfing Experience, race down the tube slides of Big Cypress Tower, and let the kids explore the multi-level treehouse playground.
Adults (21+) can chill out at the Captain’s Quarters Barat with a themed cocktail or mocktail.
Celebrate summer at Gaylord Opryland
Sound Waves indoor/outdoor water park features body slides, tube and drop slides, family raft rides, FlowRider Double, lazy and rapid rivers, an outdoor wave pool, and a multi-level play structure for kids.
Pool parties feature a DJ, games, music, prizes, and the family-friendly Pirate Buccaneer Bash.
Join the Battle for Blue Diamond Boat Ride with the Delta Riverboat Co., a 30-minute pirate and sword mistress themed adventure along the Delta River in the resort’s Delta Atrium ($22 per person, ages three and under free).
Ages 21 and up can relax with a drink in hand at Three Sheets Speakeasy.
Summer of More at Gaylord Texan
Paradise Springs 10-acre outdoor recreation includes a pool, lazy river, family lagoon with walk-in beach, water slides, zip-line, and multi-level interactive water tree house to help beat the heat, available exclusively for resort guests.
Kid-friendly Junior Chef’s Camp lets children work alongside specialty chefs baking pirate and princess cupcakes and decorating homemade cookies.
Gaylord Rockies highlights watery fun
Like its sister resort, Gaylord Opryland, pool parties and the Buccaneer Bash keep kids and their grown-ups happy at Gaylord Rockies. Arapahoe Springs water park features a 720-foot-long lazy river, zero entry pools, water slides, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and plenty of room for sunbathing.
The Junior Chef’s Camp is available here, too.
Summer of More at Gaylord National
Gaylord National invites guests to get active in the Junior Olympic-sized lap pool, soak in the outdoor whirlpool, and let the kids loose in the splash zone. Imbibe at the poolside bar, and catch the rays on the outdoor sundeck.
Pick up a java or a quick bite at the resort’s new brasserie-inspired Potomac District Café & Market, with its coffee bar, sun room, and wine and cocktail room, with the conveniences needed for meetings or while catching up on work.
Replay at Pose Rooftop pop-up bar has a 1980s theme, highlighted by signature milkshakes, retro arcade games, and views over the Potomac River. Ages 21 and up only after 9 p.m.
All five resorts will offer the Shiny Stash Scavenger Hunt where families can discover clues and solve puzzles as they search for the Princess’s hidden treasure, and each resort allows guests to book pirate and princess pampering at Relâche Spa.
Select resorts also feature themed Escape Rooms, the Pirates & Princess Art Studio, or the “Fantasy and Folklore Light and Fountain Show.”
