All-new ‘Adventure Kids’ adds more fun to Summerfest at Gaylord Palms
Gaylord Palms Resort’s annual SummerFest has begun, and this year, the all-new Adventure Kids are joining the fun!
Now through Aug. 11, SummerFest invites guests to enjoy overnight stays and daily family-friendly entertainment throughout the resort’s 4.5 acres of atriums and Cypress Springs Water Park.
This summer, guests will meet the members of the all-new Adventure Kids Club. This interactive show features Sophie, the leader of the club; Ava the alligator and Seth the Sea Turtle. Guests can earn a different Adventure Kids badge at each show by demonstrating courage, knowledge and imagination while learning about Florida.
During sunny days at Cypress Springs Water Park, families can enjoy the Splash Party and dance all day with DJ Sunny! The resort’s resident DJ will spin classic and modern tunes to keep the party going.
The water park also features a zero-entry pool, treehouse water play structure with four slides, the Big Cypress tower with an AquaDrop slide and two racing slides, and The Wake Zone, a Double FlowRider with a simulated surf-able wave.
The Wake Zone also transforms into a stage on select nights as the resort’s surf team shows off their skills during the Paint the Waves Surf Show.
Inside the atriums, guests can take part in the Florida Explorer Scavenger Hunt, where they’ll grab a compass and journey through the resort’s flora and fauna, solving puzzles and finding hidden clues as they go. This experience is $9.99 per scavenger hunt activity book and compass.
Even more summer fun can be discovered inside The Pirate’s Treasure Escape Room. Guests will join Emerald, the wife of the dread pirate Captain Hornswoggle, as they ransack the Captain’s Quarters in search of the ultimate treasure. The Captain has hidden away a priceless jewel somewhere inside and refuses to give it away – and he’s due back in 30 minutes time! Find the gem and escape before he returns! This experience is $15.99 per person.
On Saturdays during SummerFest, guests can interact and learn about a variety of exotic animals during Exotic Animal Encounters.
Each night, the Illuminate Florida Light Show will take over the sky inside the resort’s St. Augustine Atrium. The show features an epic score set to millions of choreographed lights, taking guests from the swamplands to the beach, celebrating all that Florida has to offer.
Guests can make the most of SummerFest with the special SummerFest Package, available all season long with rates starting at just $194 per night. The package includes one Florida Explorer Scavenger Hunt book and compass, two drink tumblers that include unlimited soda, and a $25 resort credit per night.
If you want more with your experience, an upgraded SummerFest Premium Package is available, limited to a select number each day. This package includes accommodations in an Emerald Bay Atrium room with a view of the Illuminate Florida Light Show, a special SummerFest welcome amenity delivered to the room, a Florida Explorer Scavenger Hunt book and compass, two drink tumblers that include unlimited soda refills, and a $25 resort credit per night.
