This summer, Legoland Florida is helping families deal with Veloxrotaphobia, or fear of roller coasters, by arming parents with “Roller Coaster Readiness” tips.
The newly introduced Lego Friends, Olivia, Andrea, Stephanie, Emma and Mia, are coming to Legoland Florida to host a weekend of fun geared toward girls March 24 and 25, 2012. A first-ever event, Lego Friends Weekend is a daytime party that includes a Lego Friends building event, live entertainment, games and activities.

Legoland Florida is gearing up for for its first full year in operation in 2012 with special events geared towards families with children age 2 to 12: from Lego Friends Weekend to Brick-or-Treat.
A day before their official opening, Legoland Florida announced they would be opening a water park in 2012. Their first ever expansion is slated to open by next summer. The new water park will feature a wave pool, Build-A-Raft lazy river, tube slides, body slides and an interactive water-play structure called Duplo Safari.

The first major theme park to open in the United States in a decade, Legoland Florida got off to a busy start with thousands of visitors lining up near the park’s entrance before dawn for the 10 a.m. opening ceremony.
