Take a culinary trip around the world during Carowinds’ Grand Carnivale international festival

Grand Carnivale brings pulsing rhythms, international foods, block parties, a parade, and more to Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte, N.C. from June 25-July 10, 2022.

For 16 full days, the festival will immerse guests in an international celebration, introducing traditions from around the globe and new menus featuring sweet and savory tastes from China, France, Germany, India, Italy, and Spain.

Guests can sample more than 20 culinary creations from six countries, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The “Spectacle of Color” parade will run nightly at 8:30 p.m., boasting 120 performers dressed in colorful costumes and tossing beads to the crowd from seven authentic floats created by Kern Studios in New Orleans, La. Eight in-park visitors will be invited to ride and toss beads, too.

Grand Carnivale, one of six special events at Carowinds, takes place daily from 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
