The Aquatica water park in San Antonio, Texas has debuted its new Taumata Racer mat ride, and you can preview the slide without getting splashed with this POV video.
Taumata Racer opened to the public at Aquatica San Antonio on Saturday, March 10. Named for a famous hill in New Zealand, Taumata Racer is a high-speed competitive mat ride featuring six riders racing down a steep hill, head first. Positioned in six side-by-side lanes, riders zoom around a 180-degree swooping turn, and in-and-out of a tunnel before racing down the 375-foot slide and across the finish line in under 10 seconds.
Manufactured by WhiteWater West Industries, Taumata Racer is located on the north side of the tropically-themed waterpark and has a minimum rider height requirement of 42 inches.
