The Disney+ Drive-In Festival is rolling into Southern California

Disney+ has announced a public outdoor screening series of favorite films plus the world premieres of Disney+ originals “Clouds” and “The Right Stuff” from National Geographic.

The Disney+ Drive-In Festival on Oct. 5-12, 2020, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. will present the best of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic in a safe and entertaining experience. Plus, each night of the eight-day series will begin with sneak peek trailers from Disney+ originals on the big screen, a classic animated short, or a fan-favorite episodes of “The Simpsons.”

On Oct. 7, the festival will honor Hispanic Heritage Month with a screening of the Pixar Animation Studio film “Coco,” and Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” will screen on Oct. 11 in celebration of International Day of the Girl. The Disney+ Drive-In Festival will also celebrate several movie milestones, including the 10th anniversary of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Tangled” on Oct. 6 and the 40th anniversary of “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back” on Oct. 8.

  • Disney Plus Drive-In Festival, Coco, Captain Marvel

Guests can join Disney+ on Oct. 9 for a night of spooky surprises and a screening of the Disney Halloween favorite “Hocus Pocus.” And movie-musical fans won’t want to miss the Los Angeles return of “The Sound Of Music Sing-Along” on Oct. 10 to mark the 55th anniversary of the classic Rodgers & Hammerstein film.

Two invite-only red carpet premieres will bookend the week: the world premiere of the all-new scripted original National Geographic series “The Right Stuff” on Oct. 5, 2020 (which starts streaming Oct. 9 on Disney+), and the premiere of the Disney+ original movie “Clouds” on Oct. 10, 2020 (which debuts Oct. 16 on the streaming service).

Disney+ Drive-In Festival 2020 Schedule:

  • Oct. 5 – “The Right Stuff” World Premiere Screening (by invitation only)
  • Oct. 6 – “Tangled” 10th Anniversary Screening
  • Oct. 7 – “Coco” Celebrating Hispanic Heritage
  • Oct. 8 – “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back” 40th Anniversary Screening
  • Oct. 9 – “Hocus Pocus” Disney+ Halloween Night
  • Oct. 10 – “The Sound of Music Sing-Along” 55th Anniversary Screening
  • Oct. 11 – “Captain Marvel” Celebrating International Day of the Girl
  • Oct. 12 – “Clouds” World Premiere Screening (by invitation only)

Capacity is extremely limited, and reservations will be required to attend (one registration per vehicle, with a maximum of four guests per car). Fans can register for complimentary tickets beginning Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. PT. Click here to reserve a spot.

The Disney+ Drive-In Festival will follow state and county safety guidelines, including social distancing. In addition, guests must remain in their vehicles during the screenings, and face coverings are required when interacting with attendants and when exiting vehicles to visit restrooms.
