Kennedy Space Center brings back ‘Launch and a Movie’

Experience the dazzling imagery of the short film “Journey to Space” and the heart-pounding drama of a live SpaceX rocket launch webcast at Kennedy Space Center, drive-in movie style!

Load up your friends and family and head over to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on Friday, October 2 for an under-the-stars showing of the center’s IMAX movie, “Journey into Space” narrated by Sir Patrick Stewart, followed by a launch webcast of SpaceX’s GPS III SV04 rocket, all from the comfort of your own car.

Parking for the event opens at 6:45 p.m., and the movie begins at 8:30 p.m. followed by the live-feed countdown to liftoff, with a targeted launch time between 9:43 and 9:58 p.m..

Meal Deals of individual cheese pizza, candy, and a non-alcoholic beverage can be purchased for $10, and packaged snacks and souvenirs are available for purchase prior to the movie.

Restrooms will be available throughout the event. Take note, visitors must wear a facial covering while outside their vehicle.

Launch and a Movie” admission is $50 per car. In the event of launch scrub or postponement, the admission ticket will be valid for the next launch event.
