The attraction’s new experience – the UK’s only escape room with a ride – locks guests in the infamous Tower of London, where they’ve been sentenced to be tortured and hanged for conspiring against the King as part of Guy Fawkes’ failed gunpowder plot.

Guests will have 60 minutes to “escape” their cell by using clues left by Fawkes to guide them through a series of logic puzzles and other physical elements. However, the London Dungeon’s Prison Guard will conduct checks, and guests won’t want to get caught trying to escape.

“Our shows have been designed to put the bravest to the test and see our guests be immersed in London’s darkest history, but this time, we decided to take the experience one step further and put our guests right at the heart of the action with this new escape room experience,” a London Dungeon spokesperson said. “We cannot wait to see our guests discover this new spine chilling experience and see how many will make it out of the royal prison in time to avoid final execution!”

The London Dungeon offers 16 terrifying shows and rides that bring the city’s darkest history to life, from Jack the Ripper and Sweeney Todd to witch executions and courtrooms. The attraction’s newest experience will open to the public on April 3, 2023. The escape room will be available to book as teams of 2 to 6 people for £120 per game (about $147). The experience is recommended for players aged 12+.

Tickets to the London Dungeon must be purchased separately from the escape room. Tickets are £33.00 for adults (about $40) and £27.00 for children (about $33). Guests who book online in advance can save up to 20%.
