‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ movie theater collectibles: Popcorn buckets and more
Jack Skellington is putting on his Sandy Claws hat — and this time, he is holding the popcorn.
Disney’s “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” is returning to movie theaters in October 2026, and new collectibles are beginning to arrive ahead of the screenings. Among them is a light-up Santa Jack popcorn bucket, along with a double-sided blanket being promoted by AMC Theatres.
The new merchandise arrives as the 1993 stop-motion film prepares for another seasonal trip to the big screen.
‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ returns to theaters in October
The collectibles accompany another theatrical rerelease of “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” which has become an annual tradition in many cities in the U.S.
Current theater listings indicate screenings begin in October 1, 2026. Some theaters will only offer “The Nightmare Before Christmas” for a small handful of nights. I like to use Fandango to get a broad overview of all the theaters in one area.

‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ Jack Skellington popcorn bucket
The centerpiece of this year’s theater merchandise is an 85-ounce Jack Skellington LED popcorn bucket.
The sculpted vessel recreates Jack’s head wearing the red-and-white Sandy Claws hat he dons after discovering Christmas Town. The hat opens to reveal the popcorn compartment, while an LED feature illuminates Jack’s face.

AMC has another ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ exclusive
AMC is pairing Santa Jack with another collectible inspired by Jack and Sally.
The “Simply Meant to Be” blanket is double-sided. One side features a patchwork design based on Sally’s dress, while the reverse uses Jack Skellington’s familiar black-and-white stripes.
