‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ Light Trail expands to England with more cities ahead
Cheshire, England — Halloween Town is crossing the Atlantic, and Jack Skellington may have more traveling ahead.
Disney Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” Light Trail will make its U.K. debut at Arley Hall & Gardens in Cheshire this fall, bringing the after-dark walkthrough experience to England after previous stops in the United States and Brazil. The attraction will run for 10 weeks, from Oct. 22, 2026, through Jan. 3, 2027.

The experience transforms the grounds into a series of illuminated scenes inspired by the 1993 movie, featuring Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie and other residents of Halloween Town.
But England may not be the Light Trail’s final destination. The attraction’s official website shows “Additional Cities — Coming Soon,” inviting fans to sign up to learn where the experience will appear next.

For those who haven’t stepped through the gates of Halloween Town before, the Light Trail turns the world of Tim Burton’s 1993 movie into a physical nighttime experience. Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie and other familiar residents appear among illuminated environments, projections and large-scale installations, all set against music from the movie.

And Attractions Magazine has been down this trail before. We experienced the attraction when it made its U.S. debut at the New York Botanical Garden in 2024, and it’s a great example of what happens when Halloween Town escapes the screen and takes over the outdoors.
After debuting in New York in 2024, the Light Trail expanded in 2025 with a return to the New York Botanical Garden and engagements in Austin, Texas, and São Paulo, Brazil.
We’re keeping an eye out for more details about the additional cities. For now you may want to consider heading to Disneyland for the Haunted Mansion Holiday featuring The Nightmare Before Christmas, or to Walt Disney World’s Jollywood Nights with a fantastic sing-along show with Jack and Oogie Boogie.
