‘Today Show’ offers a look inside The Bourne Stuntacular
During “3rd Hour Today”, live from Universal Orlando, reporter Natalie Morales took viewers inside The Bourne Stuntacular, the live-action stunt show coming soon to Universal Studios Florida.

The show is based on Universal Pictures’ “Bourne” film franchise, following the character of Jason Bourne around the world as evil pursues him. Fans will see chase scenes, fistfights, leaps and more – all happening right in front of their eyes with live performers, high-tech props, and a giant LED screen.

The theater seats look pretty much the same as they did when it was used for Terminator 2: 3-D. We’re not yet sure if they will move like they used to.

On stage, it looks like the podium used during Terminator will still be used.

But instead of mostly screens, it looks like the new show will incorporate large sets and screens. Here you can see some stunt actors fighting on a rooftop.

Here Morales swings out over the audience, so you may have actors above you, depending on where you sit in the theater.

In this scene, a mostly stationary motorcycle is made to look like it’s speeding along a road due to the background screen moving and wind effects.

The high-resolution screen is also used in this fight scene, as a video crowd cheers on the on-stage fighters.

Here’s how it looks from the audience’s perspective. It’s much more believable from this angle.
Here’s a look at the full show segment:
The Bourne Stuntacular is set to open sometime this spring at Universal Orlando Resort.

That Universal seems to know how to use screens better than Disney should not be surprising, since they have been making live-action movies far, far longer than Disney.
Love the things I did as Jayson Bourn , THANK YOU . I hope to show you so much more than what you have in revelance , that I also kept in a locker of my stuff in a warehouse all of the things apparently I have done and (recorded and photoed) to one day show it to you the public and behind seens never shown . THANX
So excited to see this new show🤗
Can’t wait for the grand opening. I wonder how similar the special effects will be to the Cirque du Soleil show RUN in Las Vegas? Maybe Attractions Magazine needs to travel to Nevada for a review!
