Tokyo Disney Resort to launch digital FastPass system, free Wi-Fi
Making FastPass reservations at Tokyo Disney Resort is about to get a little easier – starting this summer, guests will be able to utilize a digital FastPass system on the park’s official app.
As many Disney Parks guests already know, the FastPass program is free and allows guests to select return times for their favorite attractions rather than wait in long lines. Currently, guests visiting Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea have to visit FastPass kiosks and obtain paper FastPasses to use this feature.
According to The Asahi Shimbun, this feature will be added to the official Tokyo Disney Resort app before Tokyo DisneySea’s newest attraction, “Soaring: Fantastic Flight,” opens on July 23. For guests who don’t have smartphones, paper FastPasses will still be available. In addition, the mobile app is only available in Japanese.
This free, digital FastPass system is already in place at Walt Disney World, and a paid version called Disney MaxPass is now operating at Disneyland Resort.
Tokyo Disney Resort will also be introducing free Wi-Fi areas within its two parks this May to further improve the guest experience.
