The rise of Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, Tweets, Facebook Videos, and YouTube Shorts has led to a brave new world of short (and usually vertical) videos. Within the theme park world, there are fans of all ages from all areas of the globe, and social media allows us reach people faster than ever. As we looked back over the last year, we discovered that our Top 10 Social Media rankings were different than our Top 10 YouTube picks.
We compiled our 2022 Top 10 most-watched videos across all social media platforms, and determined that Instagram and TikTok brought us the most video views. You can check out our 2022 Top 10 articles and 2022 top 10 YouTube videos as well.

We got a first look at the ongoing construction at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay for their upcoming world record-setting Serengeti Flyer attraction, which opens in 2023.
7. Universal’s Epic Universe construction speed
We joked that the Tron Lightcycle / Run attraction was taking forever to build, especially when compared to the speed at which Universal is building Universal’s Epic Universe. Based on the huge amounts of shares and views, many of you agree.
6. Yoda hologram on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

This was one of the most impressive tricks we have ever seen Disney pull off. Yoda appears on a hologram, right before your eyes, while onboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Even though you can begin to piece together how it works in the video, the effect was flawless in person.
5. Ice Breaker POV at SeaWorld Orlando

We took you along on a front-row POV ride of SeaWorld Orlando’s Ice Breaker roller coaster. On video you can’t feel your stomach drop out or embrace the speed of the wind, but it’s the perfect experience for those who might be too afraid to ride it themselves.

You could get personalized sake wooden drink cups at Epcot during the Festival of the Arts. The internet seemed infatuated by three things in this video: How my sister drank out of the cup, how I mispronounced the word sake, and how the customization was offered on the cups.

A video that starts with a mistake usually doesn’t go far, but you seemed to disagree. We were invited out to Raglan Road for National Irish Coffee Day and were shown how to make the traditional Irish coffee-based drink.

This subject and tragedy was also in our top 10 articles for this year. This free fall tower video was originally made to showcase the extreme nature of the attraction, but went viral after the horrific tragedy of 14-year-old Tyre Sampson.

We are a U.S. based company, whose biggest social media video of the year came from Japan. The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast is an incredible trackless Disney attraction at the Tokyo Disney Resort. The animatronics and illusions are some of the best in the world (and the internet agreed), making this our biggest social media video of the year.
