2022 delivered fantastic new rides and shows, re-imagined classics, and the closures of some long-standing offerings – in fact, this year felt almost fully-normal since the beginning the pandemic in 2020. As we head towards 2023 with excitement for what’s to come, we decided to take a look back at the Top 10 Attractions Magazine YouTube videos of 2022.
Many of our most popular YouTube videos this year were actually posted in past years, but unless noted, these videos represent the Top 10 posted in 2022.

Fantasmic! returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this year with a new heroes scene, updated projections, lasers, and audio equipment. This new scene, featuring Elsa, Moana, Aladdin, and Mulan was one of the highlights of this returning classic.

El Toro, at Six Flags Great Adventure opened in 2006. This wooden coaster goes 70 mph on 4,400 feet of track!
7. Kylo Ren and Rey Lightsaber Battle and Stunt Show on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Halcyon
At the climatic finale night of your three-day journey on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, you will see Kylo Ren and Rey engage in a lightsaber battle. This battle includes characters from your entire journey, including Chewbacca, Stormtroopers, the captain of the ship, and more.
6. Ice Breaker Roller Coaster POV & Queue at SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando debuted an all-new multi-launch roller coaster called Ice Breaker. This coaster takes riders up a 93-foot-tall spike with a 100-degree angle before launching them towards the rest of the track alongside the lagoon.
5. Disney Wish Walkthrough – Deck-By-Deck on the Newest Disney Cruise Line Ship
The Disney Wish, the newest cruise ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, debuted this year in Florida. This ship features a Star Wars bar, a new Disney water attraction, special Marvel dining, and much more.

Visitors to the 2022 Disney D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA got to see a rare interview presentation with Muppet puppeteers live on stage.
3. Michael Myers, Wolf Man, The Mummy, Dracula, and Evil Kids “Attack” Media At Halloween Horror Nights
This one-time-only “attack” happened to the media visiting Halloween Horror Nights 31 at the Universal Orlando Resort as the precursor to the night’s ghoulish events.

The world’s tallest free fall drop tower opened for a very limited time before the tragedy where 14-year-old Tyre Sampson was ejected from the ride and fell to his death on March 24, 2022.
