Totally Rock’n Drive-In Laser Light Show will be better and brighter than ever as Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury, Conn. lights up the skies on seven select dates in September.

Roll up for a rock’n good time as Quassy’s main parking lot transforms into a drive-in theater on Sept. 9-12 and 17-19, each evening at 8 p.m. Full-color, laser motion graphics will play out against a giant screen set up in the parking lot, engulfing the crowd in “brilliant aerial beams of light.”

The visual displays will be accompanied by current pop and classic rock music, which attendees can tune in to on their car radio.

Quassy park owner, George Frantzis, said, “This will be an incredible show, no doubt. We have done laser shows in the past, but nothing like this. The equipment the production company is bringing will far surpass what was presented before. And families concerned about COVID can be somewhat at ease, as this is an outdoor event with space provided between parked vehicles.”

The show is family-friendly, and past events, including the park’s special July 4 fireworks display benefiting Give Kids the World, have proven popular.

“These shows have been playing across the country and selling out, so that’s why we are offering pre-sale only tickets” Frantzis added. “The great thing, too, is that we have an early show time so families can come and enjoy the evening together. We secured a regional exclusive with the production company, so this will be the only drive-in presentation by them in our area.”

In addition to viewing the laser light show, visitors may donate non-perishable food items that will be used to aid area food banks as part of the Quassy Cares program. Donations will be accepted each night of the laser light show event.

“We were overwhelmed with donations earlier this year when we held two neighbors-in-need weekends,” Frantiz said. “Paired with this great family show, we expect another successful food drive.”

Tailgating at the Totally Rock’n Drive-In Laser Light show is encouraged, but no grills will be allowed on the property. Lawn chairs and blankets for viewing outside your parked car is also allowed.
