Disney California Adventure is now testing a new “Moving Buddy” line pass for the popular Toy Story Midway Mania attraction.
Named for a line in the first “Toy Story” film, this new line pass allows for parties of one, two, or a party of two and small child to queue up in a new line separate from standby and FastPass.
Guests that fit this party requirement are normally approached by a cast member, given a card that explains the new “Moving Buddy” system, and taken to their new queue. The purpose of this new line is to cut down the wait times for smaller parties who would only take up a single row of a ride vehicle.
This new line pass doesn’t necessarily guarantee that guests will immediately get on the attraction, but according to Reddit user britbabe1, it reduces the guests’ wait time significantly.
We’re not sure if this will become a permanent part of the queue at Toy Story Midway Mania, or if guests can take advantage of this new offering throughout the operating day. Currently, guests can only use this type of line pass at Midway Mania and Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue.
