Over at Universal Studios Hollywood, Autobots and Decepticons are now battling in the new theme park ride, Transformers: The Ride – 3D. The grand opening event was held yesterday, May 24, 2012.
Transformers: The Ride is 3D is being dubbed as the next generation of theme park rides. The ride follows in the footsteps of King Kong 3D and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, both of which were created by the same team created the new Transformers ride. It is based off the “Transformers” blockbuster movie franchise. The ride takes up two stories and features a 2,000-foot multi-level ride-track, special effects, one of the most elaborate flight simulation ride systems ever created and the highest, most sophisticated resolution of 3D-HD technology available on 14 different screens. The ride is located in an all new soundstage structure with 30-foot Transformers characters adorning the entrance.
N.E.S.T. has relocated to a covert location at Universal Studios Hollywood, as the Battle Begins with Transformers: The Ride 3D, an immersive, next generation thrill ride that blurs the line between fiction and reality. Fusing HD 3D media and flight simulation technology, this epic ride creates an experience unlike anything this planet has ever seen. Based on the popular movie franchise, this mind-blowing new Transformers adventure puts you in the middle of the ultimate war zone. Fight alongside Optimus and try to survive as you protect the All Spark from Decepticons over four stories tall. Remember, the future of the human race is counting on you. Prepare for the greatest battle you’ll ever ride.
The ride system is similar to that of The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Transformers: The Ride – 3D previously opened at Universal Studios Singapore. The attraction hasn’t been announced for Universal Orlando.
