At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, new daytime entertainment will arrive to celebrate the resort’s anniversary. “Disney KiteTails” will come to life several times daily at the Discovery River Amphitheater starting Oct. 1. Performers will fly windcatchers and kites of all sorts of shapes and sizes; out on the water, elaborate 3D kites — with some even stretching to 30 feet long — will depict Disney animals like Simba, Zazu, Baloo and King Louie. These unique kites will “dance” through the air to the beat of iconic Disney songs.
