Halloween Horror Nights haunted house reveal: ‘Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines’ … Dark Universe connection?
A Universal Classic Monsters haunted house will be part of Halloween Horror Nights 2024, possibly connecting to the story of Epic Universe.
Universal Monsters haunted house
A haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) 2024 will extend the lore of the Universal Classic Monsters films with a new, original story. “Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines” will be part of HHN at both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood. The signature haunt event returns to Florida on select nights from Aug. 30 – Nov. 3, 2024 and to California on select nights from Sept. 5 – Nov. 3, 2024.
Universal teased the backstory of “Eternal Bloodlines” on social media by saying, “Get caught in an epic battle as Saskia Van Helsing and the Bride of Frankenstein go up against Dracula’s daughter and her monstrous mavens.”
Saskia Van Helsing is a new character created especially for “Eternal Bloodlines.” She’s the daughter of Abraham Van Helsing (aka Count Dracula’s killer). Saskia teams up with the Bride of Frankenstein, namesake of the 1935 Universal film.
On the opposing team, “Eternal Bloodlines” also stars:
- Countess Marya, daughter of Count Dracula, from “Dracula’s Daughter” (1936)
- She-Wolf from “She-Wolf of London” (1946)
- Egyptian princess Anck-Su-Namun from “The Mummy” (1932)
Connections to Dark Universe?
While Universal has not mentioned when “Eternal Bloodlines” takes place within its story, the haunted house’s themes of multi-generational monsters are reminiscent of Dark Universe, the area themed to Universal Classic Monsters inside Universal Orlando’s upcoming Epic Universe theme park. Taking place in present-day, the underlying narrative of Dark Universe will focus on Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, the great-great granddaughter of Henry Frankenstein.

Epic Universe will open in 2025 at Universal Orlando, but guests can see the scale model of the park on display at a preview center now open at Universal CityWalk.
Spooky soundtrack and haunting history
Grammy award-winning musician Slash will compose the music for Hollywood’s “Eternal Bloodlines” marking his sixth collaboration with HHN. Emmy-nominated composer Sara Barone (“Planet Earth III”) will create the score for Florida’s version. Barone is currently a participant in the Universal Composers Initiative, a two-year program.
Fittingly, on the west coast the haunted house will reside in Sound Stage 12, where Universal filmed classic horror movies “Dracula,” “Frankenstein,” and “The Bride of Frankenstein.”

“Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines” is the 10th and final haunted house announced for HHN in Florida and the sixth of eight total haunted houses announced for HHN in California.
