Universal Orlando eases face mask rules for outdoor areas

Following the recent updates from the CDC regarding face mask usage by vaccinated individuals, Universal Orlando Resort has amended their health and safety protocols for guests visiting the parks.

Starting Saturday, May 15, guests will no longer be required to wear face masks when outdoors at Universal Orlando Resort. However, face coverings will still be required indoors and when on attractions. You can read the full statement from Universal below:

The health and safety of our guests and team members is always our top priority. Based on guidance from local government and health officials, effective Saturday, May 15, face coverings for guests are no longer mandatory when outdoors at Universal Orlando. Face coverings will remain required at all indoor locations, including restaurants, shops, and indoor hotel public areas. Face coverings are also required at all attractions from the moment guests enter the queue to when they exit the experience. Based on these updates, guests are still expected to bring a face covering with them for their visit. Social distancing guidelines still apply.

Guests will still be expected to bring a face mask with them when visiting the resort, and social distancing guidelines of three feet will remain in place.
