Universal Orlando expands photo validation testing to King’s Cross
Universal Orlando appears to be expanding testing of its Photo Validation system, with new kiosks now installed at King’s Cross.

Photos taken by Attractions Magazine show two kiosks in place at the ‘Hogwarts Express’ attraction entrance area. At the time the photos were taken, one kiosk was actively using Photo Validation, while the second continued standard ticket scanning.
The Express entrance was also utilizing the updated system, suggesting Universal is testing the technology across multiple guest access points. The system has been in place for about three years; testing began in late 2023.

Universal positions its Photo Validation as part of its “Effortless Entry” initiative, allowing guests to scan their ticket, take a photo, and use faster verification at future checkpoints.

The new kiosks at King’s Cross may indicate a phased rollout to additional attractions and Express locations across the resort.
As with all operational testing, procedures may change.
